Sorry I must have been drinking to much ethanol when I posted this. I meant ethanol used as a fuel. Specifically I’m interested in the energy balance. If I don’t get a lot of noise about the merits of drinking ethanol I’ll be disappointed. Compression ratio for ethanol can be very high, ie 12:1 and higher, up to max of about 16:1.
